A former school bus driver for the Madison County school system has pleaded guilty to committing sex crimes against young children in Tennessee.
Joe Wiley Dixon pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of aggravated sexual battery and received a 10-year-sentence on each count, according to AL.com news partner WHNT News 19. The sentences are set up to run concurrently, or at the same time.

Dixon, 70, of Ardmore, Tenn., was scheduled to go to trial this month. He was arrested in January 2015 on the charges, along with one count of aggravated rape of a child.
Dixon was a bus driver at Sparkman High School, but resigned his post shortly after his arrest. The crimes he committed did not involve any Madison County students.
The victims in the case, both under the age of 5, were children being cared for at Dixon’s wife’s residential daycare service.
He had previously been offered a plea deal in June,but rejected it.
