Mary and Christian Young and Reeves were charged with conspiring to defraud the United States, along with access device fraud and aggravated identity theft.

Mary Young was also charged with several counts of wire fraud. According to the indictment, the defendants’ conspiracy lasted from January 2012 through June 2012 and involved using stolen identities to file tax returns claiming fraudulent refunds.

Missing Person Jackson, Ohio Man Missing Since Dec. 30

A Jackson, Ohio man with family in Leon has been reported missing since around Dec. 30, according to a spokesperson with the Jackson City Police Department.

The spokesperson for the police department confirmed the family of Terrance Blankenship, 64, Jackson, filed the missing person’s report.

Blankenship’s daughter, Christie Fields of Leon, said family has been unable to reach her father since around Dec. 30. Both she and the police have been to his Jackson home and found nothing disturbed, but his car was missing. Fields said a local pharmacy in Jackson also reported Blankenship hadn’t picked up his filled medications.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

The Jackson City Police Department spokesperson said at this time the department has reason to believe Blankenship could be in the Gallipolis, Ohio area. Someone with his name has reportedly filed for a post office box in Gallipolis, but investigators need to confirm that it’s him. The spokesperson also said the Jackson Police Department hopes someone in local law enforcement in Gallia County can assist in verifying Blankenship is ok if he is in Gallia County, or that Blankenship calls the department himself at 1-740-286-4131.

Fields said she just wants to get the word out that her dad’s family, and now the police, are looking for him to confirm he’s safe.

Pedophile Tracking Windermere, FL Man Found Guilty

The child-rape case that embroiled Windermere in scandal two years ago ended on Thursday, when jurors found Scott Frederick Bush guilty of sexual battery and other crimes against children.

The victims testified after the verdict was read, telling the judge about the pain they continue to suffer as a result of the abuse, but expressing vindication also, and hope for the future.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

“I just wish I could feel like a clean person,” said one of the two. “I will try for the rest of my life to be the best person I can be in hopes that I somehow can shed this from myself.”

The other told Circuit Judge Julie O’Kane that, for the sake of other potential victims, Bush “should be behind bars.”

“I feel like I don’t want him to do to anyone else what he did to me,” she said. “It’s hard to go through life feeling different from everyone else and feeling inadequate.”

Bush, 52, shook his head and mouthed the word “wrong” as the verdict was read. Later, as deputies prepared to place him in handcuffs, he spoke to his victims in the gallery.

“Shame on you girls, for lying,” Bush said, drawing a rebuke from the judge.

Earlier in the trial, jurors heard testimony from the victims, who are now adults, and their sister about an array of abuses they said took place regularly in the Bush household when they were young: sexual comments, groping, physical punishment and worse.

One the victims described an incident when she was 10: Bush brought her ice cream in bed, she said, and as she ate, she began to feel tired and lose her ability to move.

Then, she said in tearful testimony, Bush raped her.

After the state rested its case, Bush testified in his own defense Wednesday. Asked if he’d ever had sex with the girls by his attorney, Bush replied, “That’s disgusting. No, sir.”

Bush’s child-sex allegations sparked scandal in Windermere in 2011, after his friend, then-police Chief Daniel Saylor, was accused of halting his agency’s 2009 investigation of Bush.

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement inquiry ultimately led to Bush’s charges, and Saylor’s firing and arrest. The ex-chief served jail time after a plea deal.

Saylor testified in Bush’s defense, as did other friends and business colleagues. Bush’s defense attorney, Frank Bankowitz, argued in closing that the victims’ testimony was inconsistent, and the state lacked physical evidence.

But Assistant State Attorney Deborah Barra told the jurors they had all the evidence they needed to convict Bush — testimony from the two alleged victims.

“This is their time,” Barra said, urging the jury to find Bush guilty.

Jurors deliberated only about two hours before returning a verdict: Bush was guilty of capital sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation and battery. Sentencing was set for Feb. 25.

O’Kane revoked Bush’s bond, and ordered him held in the Orange County Jail until that date. The sexual battery charge carries a sentence of life in state prison.

Identity Theft Illegal Jamaican in Tampa, FL Sentenced

TAMPA, United States, Thursday January 17, 2013 – United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reported that an illegal Jamaican immigrant has been jailed for identity theft.

On Wednesday the ICE said Lynval Thompson was sentenced to two years in a US federal prison and one year of supervised release for “aggravated identity theft.”

He will be deported to Jamaica after he completes his prison sentence, officials said.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

ICE said that after comparing arrest records and fingerprint samples, US Homeland Security Investigation (HIS) special agents determined that Thompson had impersonated another man, Cory Howard, who was living in North Carolina in 2011.

According to ICE while reviewing his credit report, Howard realized that an unknown person in the state of Florida had opened a Wells Fargo bank account using his personal information.

After doing some investigating, Howard learned that the bank account was associated with a Tampa, Florida address, and he contacted the Tampa Police Department for assistance.

The immigration agency said a Tampa Police Department detective then embarked on an investigation.

Using ATM transaction videos and the address associated with the Wells Fargo bank account, the detective tracked down Howard’s impersonator via a traffic stop.

“The driver, however, did not present a Florida driver’s license bearing Howard’s information,” ICE said. “Instead, he presented a Florida license indicating that his name was Miguel Cruz,” it added.

When the detective analyzed both licenses, ICE said the images on the licenses bearing both Cruz and Howard’s name appeared to be the same person.

The driver of the vehicle also appeared to be the same person in the ATM videos, ICE added.

Tampa’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents on searching immigration records and working with law enforcement entities in Jamaica and the US Virgin Islands eventually identified the impersonator as Thompson

Private Detective Woman Recovering After Face Slashed at Fayette Mall

A woman is recovering after she was attacked in a very public place and her face was slashed with a razor.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in Fayette Mall as shoppers walked by. You’re probably thinking how can this happen in a place as busy as Fayette Mall. Well it did, right out in the open, now police are looking for the two young women who cut up the victim’s face.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

“She looked me dead in the eye and smiled at me,” said victim Nicole Kyaw of one of her attackers. Seconds later Kyaw says two girls tackled her to the ground. “All I remember is just trying to protect my head,” she said.

Her face then was slashed, criss-crossed with a razor or blade of some sort. “I ran to my work,” said Kyaw. “I had a bleeding face. I told my manager to call 911. I didn’t think they sliced my face up like this.”

It was a violent attack Kyaw says happened right outside the Deb store in Fayette Mall. Kyaw, who models sometimes, believes the girls intentionally went after her face. She says she’s acquainted with them by name only after she dated one of their ex-boyfriends. Kyaw doesn’t believe it was a chance encounter. “The witness told me they called my job and asked them what time I was working,” she said.

As police investigate, Kyaw recalls what UK Hospital doctors told her in the ER. “They told me if they went down a little bit more on my neck I would be dead from losing so much blood,” she said.

Kyaw hopes the cuts will heal with no scars. As for the investigation, police are calling this an assault-second offense, and arrests are expected.

There are new developments in the case of a man behind two attempted abductions at a Bardstown Cracker Barrel.
