Missing Person Brian Trumbo of Oakland, OR

NEAR DORENA LAKE, Ore. — A makeshift search party brought together on Facebook spent New Years Day at Dorena Lake to search the area where their missing friend’s vehicle was reported found last week.

One of the searchers, Anjuli Marsh, said that knowing that her friend, 27-year-old Brian Trumbo is missing has kept her up at night.

“It is taking a toll on the people who care for him. The more time that goes buy without any answers it becomes really tougher,” said Marsh.

Family members said that the 27-year-old was last seen leaving his Oakland, Ore. home on December 11th. Officials said that he told relatives he was taking a trip to the Eugene-area.

After the missing person’s report was released for Trumbo, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office reported that they found a car matching his vehicle description near Dorena Lake.

Deputies located Trumbo’s Expedition at the Rat Creek Boat Ramp area on Dec. 12, the day after he left Oakland.

Officials released the report on Thursday, and friends quickly organized a search party group on Facebook.

“We don’t know the specifics, or the exact location of where the car was found. We are getting a general area. We know it was found abandoned near a creek bed, near Dorena Lake,” said Marsh.

The friends and acquaintances split into groups, looking for clues about what might help them uncover how his car ended up so far from his home.

Rindy Hart said that the group has yet to reach search and rescue officials to coordinate a strategic plan.

“Frustration doesn’t get you very far. You have to stay positive and hope that we find him,” said Hart.

Officials from Douglas and Lane County Sheriff’s Offices have released little information to the searchers about their investigation into Trumbo’s disappearance.

The sheriff’s office told Marsh that they sent out a search and rescue team on Monday, but added that any team would have a lot of ground to cover.

“He is just a big part of our community. Anybody who knows him we should be doing what we can to try and help bring him home,” said Hart.

Trumbo’s friends said that Tuesday is the first of many long days they plan to spend searching for their missing friend.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the missing man to call at 541-682-4141. Trumbo’s case number is 12-8396.

Wrongful Death Body of Man Found Encased in Cement in CA Plumber’s Shop

The body of a man who police believe was murdered was found encased in freshly-poured concrete inside a California plumbing business.

Police in Whittier, Calif., said today that they received information on Sunday about a possible homicide that had occurred in Santa Fe Springs.

“Detectives did some follow-up research and were able to make contact with a man named Juan Alberto Galviz on Sunday evening, and after some more investigation, determined that a homicide had occurred. He was placed under arrest, and we obtained a search warrant,” community relations officer Brad White said today.

Whittier police and investigators from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, as well as cadaver dogs, went to the business on Monday morning and searched the room, White said. The cadaver dogs hit on something in one part of the room. Workers broke open the concrete floor, and the body of a man was found there.

Police have not yet determined how old the man was or how he died.

Galviz was arrested in connection with the murder, which police believe stemmed from a feud, White said.

Missing Person Tommy Swan of Little Rock, AR

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A North Little Rock man’s disappearance leaves his family with only questions. It’s been nearly two weeks since Tommy Swan’s family last saw him.

“It’s not a good feeling,” said Ashlee Boyd.

For thirteen days, she has been searching for her boyfriend, Tommy Swan. After dropping her off at work Wednesday, Dec. 19, he disappeared without a trace.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“I started calling him around 11 o’clock and his phone was going straight to voicemail. At first, I thought his battery was dead but after it went so long, I thought well he broke his phone. When he comes to pick me up, we’ll go get him a new phone but when I got off at five, he didn’t show up to pick me up and that’s when I knew something was wrong,” said Boyd.

Two days later, police found Swan’s car, a 2005 Chrysler 300, at Wakefield Park just off Geyer Springs road, but there was still no sign of Swan. Now his family, including his sister Kesha Quince, are left with more questions than answers.

“It’s just not normal for him to stay away from the family for this long. We know that there is something wrong. He’s not the person that would just get up and leave to start a new life. He is really missing. Something is wrong,” said Quince.

Police are still working to uncover what exactly happened. Until then, Boyd and Swan’s family will continue to hope for the best.

“Praying. Just praying. Prayer is the only thing that can be little if any comfort right now. Just praying that he returns safe,” said Boyd.

Swan’s family said a witness told police they saw him eating breakfast at the Waffle House on Geyer Springs Road the morning he disappeared. They are asking anyone who may have seen him there to contact police as soon as possible.

If you have any information about Tommy Swan or his whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact Little Rock Police at 501-371-4605. Remember, you can remain anonymous.

Missing Person S. John Ebinger of Barstow

BARSTOW • The mother of 23-year-old S. John Ebinger—also known as “S.J.”—has reported her son missing to Barstow Police, according to a police press release.

Ebinger—described as a white male, five foot seven inches tall, 150 pounds, with short blonde hair and hazel eyes—was last seen on the evening of Dec. 18 driving his pickup truck on Highland Avenue in Barstow.

His pickup truck is described as a 2006 blue Ford Ranger with license plate number 8G24181. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a black sweater.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

On Dec. 22, at approximately 4 p.m., Barstow Police received a call from Ebinger’s mother reporting Ebinger as a missing person. At that time, a missing persons report was taken and Ebinger was entered into the Missing and Unidentified Persons System, the press release said.

Ebinger’s family is concerned for his safety because it is unusual for him not to have contact with his family at least every two to three days, per the press release.

The investigation is continuing into the current whereabouts of Ebinger and the case is being called suspicious due to circumstances surrounding Ebinger’s disappearance and information obtained during the investigation.

Private Detective Marion County Home Invasion

Police in Marion County are investigating a home invasion robbery in which at least one of the suspects posed as a police officer.

The incident happened at about 5 a.m. at a home on Holy Cross Road in Lorreto. Police say a woman in the home answered a knock at the door, and say a man dressed in camouflage with a hat that said “detective” asked for assistance before he and another man forced their way into the home. The woman said both men were wearing masks.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

Police say the suspects were inside the home for about 45 minutes and hit the woman and her teenage son in the head with a gun several times. The suspects also killed a kitten that was inside the home.

Police say the suspects stole numerous items, including several electronic items.

The woman said the suspects, both appearing to be in their 20’s, fled the scene in an older model white car, possibly a Monte Carlo.
