Missing Person Jaden Dremsa of Waterboro, Maine

Hundreds of volunteers and days of searching have gotten officials no closer to understanding what happened to 15-year-old Jaden Dremsa, who was last seen leaving his Waterboro home Thursday afternoon.

“With as much as we’ve done, and as much investigation, yes, I would have [expected to find something by now],” said Lt. Kevin Adam from the Maine Warden Service.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

The search, now in its third day, has covered a two mile radius of land around Dremsa’s home. Wardens were able to use a helicopter for an air search Sunday.

“It’s frustrating for us, frustrating for the family, frustrating for the people who have come out to help out,” said Lt. Adam. “It’s just one of those unique cases right now, and until we get to the end, we don’t know what’s in the middle.”

On Monday, Wardens plan to focus their search on Lake Arrowhead, which is near Dremsa’s home. According to Lt. Adam, they will lower the water about two feet to allow for divers to see the bottom of the lake better.

They were not expecting to have as many volunteer searchers on Sunday, because of the Mother’s Day holiday, but more than 150 people helped with grounds searchers, along with dozens of trained searchers.

Dremsa is described as being 5’9” and about 140 pounds with shoulder length brown hair.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a black shirt and had skateboard style sneakers.

If you have any information, contact the Maine Warden service or the York County Sheriff’s office.

Missing Person Carl Robert Shull Last Seen in Aurora, CO

A sister is pleading for help in finding her brother who has been missing for almost six months.

Carl Robert Shull is from Casper, Wyoming but was last seen in Aurora in November of last year.

Police think he may be the victim of foul play.

Shull’s sister, Deborah Bennett, says her brother wanted to get into the medical marijuana business.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

However it seems he had mixed results with it after moving to Colorado in January of last year.

His sister learned his last contact was a phone call to his marijuana business partner, November 27th and since then, nothing.

“I would say, Robbie please, please just call me because everybody’s worried that maybe you’re dead,” said Bennett.

Bennett is so worried that she came in from Missouri to look for him.

“He has not been on Facebook, he’s contacted no one,” she said.

His last Facebook post was on November 27th and Bennett says he had been living in a house in Aurora with his business partner.

“They had a heated argument and he said my brother left there but my brother’s never been seen since,” she said.

Bennett did some detective work and discovered that her brother’s debit card was used at a gas station in Aurora.

However, she says it wasn’t her brother using it and surveillance video proved it.

She says the next morning, November 29th, she traced the card to a gas station in Elise, Nebraska and then another gas station in Fort Morgan.

Next came a $70 meal at an Outback Steakhouse in Aurora.

On December 3rd Bennett says a surveillance camera at the “Murphy’s Express” gas station captured a man buying cigarettes and signing her brother’s name.

The money on that debit card she says finally ran out on December 8th when she says that same person came back to that very fist gas station in northern Aurora.

Now months later, her brother is still missing.

“It’s just as if he dropped off the earth on Thanksgiving night,” said Bennett.

Shull is 50-years-old, 5-foot-7 inches tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was also travelling with a blue heeler dog, named Bez.

Anyone with information is asked to please call police.

Fraud Investigation Western Michigan Insurance Salesman Guilty in Ponzi Scheme Affecting 800 Families

An insurance salesman has been convicted in a $46 million scheme involving more than 800 families and unsophisticated elderly investors, federal authorities said.

David McQueen, of Byron Center, was convicted Friday by a federal court jury in Grand Rapids of six counts of mail fraud, six counts of money laundering and three tax counts stemming from a Ponzi scheme that spanned three years.

http://liarcatchers.com/fraud_investigation.html

“To perpetuate his fraud, McQueen sent out monthly or quarterly account statements communicating to investors that their investments were safe and growing,” the U.S. Attorney’s office in Western Michigan said in a release. “Investors relied on those account statements and believed they accurately depicted the balance in their accounts.”

Authorities said McQueen was making “an adequate living in sales” when in 2006 he used borrowed funds to invest in Multiple Return Transactions. McQueen received returns of at least 10 percent for a few months and then created his own company, Accelerated Income Group. Investors in his company were promised returns of 5 percent.

McQueen used the promised 10 percent returns from Multiple Return Transactions to make the 5 percent returns his company promised. He then could keep 5 percent for himself, according to the federal release.

Multiple Return Transactions stopped making payments to McQueen in 2007. But investors in his Accelerated Income Group still were told “their money was safe and growing,” authorities said.

Funds from new investors were then used to make the promised 5 percent interest payments.

“Despite knowing that he had absolutely no revenue coming in, McQueen took $100,000 of investor money per month tax free for his own personal use and enjoyment,” according to the release.

“In July and August 2009, McQueen sent out his final account statements showing that investors had tens of millions of dollars safe and growing in their separate accounts. Those statements concealed the truth — that McQueen had nearly run out of money.”

He faces up to 20 years in prison on each fraud and money laundering count.
