Police found the body of a missing man in Scottsdale after his family searched for him for several days.
The last few days, Edward Brawley’s family has been posting on Facebook and sending out flyers to try to find their loved one.
Police say the body discovered in the canal Saturday morning is Brawley.
It was a shocking discovering in a Scottsdale canal.

“One of our officers did discover a body in the canal about 7:30 this morning, unknown identity of who that person is,” said Scottsdale Police Lt. Matthew Roadifer.
Police have identified the body as 78-year-old Edward Brawley.
Police believe Brawley was riding his bike along the canal near Hayden Road and Indian Bend.
“I walk here everyday on my daily walk so it’s a little frightening to see this going on because it’s not something you would ever see,” said Adam Toso.
Brawley went missing Thursday.
He left his house for a bike ride along a popular path, but when he didn’t return an hour later, his wife called the police.
Authorities are now investigating how Brawley’s body ended up in the canal.
Cyclists riding nearby say they’ve never had any problems there.
“It feels like one of the safest places to bike in the valley, especially because it’s off the road and you are not contesting with cars,” said Dan O’Neill, a cyclist.
Police do not suspect any foul play and are still investigating.
At this time, it’s unclear how exactly Brawley died.
