Wrongful Death Body of Missing SC Teen Found

The body of a missing teen was found Thursday evening, according to the Spartanburg County Coroner.

19-year-old Autumn Rayne Hunt went missing on February 3rd, leaving her home on the East side of Spartanburg.

During a bond hearing Friday for an armed robbery charge for Alfred Caldwell and Akello Jeter it was revealed that a search warrant produced a .40 caliber glock handgun that matched shell casings found next to Hunt’s body.

According to the solicitor, murder warrants may be issued for one or both of them. It was also revealed in court that Jeter is the ex-boyfriend of Hunt.

Bond was denied for Caldwell and Jeter on the armed robbery charges.

Coroner Rusty Clevenger says Hunt’s body was found on Sims Chapel Road in the Arkwright community.

The coroner says this is being investigated as a homicide.

Spartanburg District 7 is very saddened to learn of the passing of one of their former students.

Autumn was a 2015 graduate of Spartanburg High School and very involved in Student activities including ROTC. After graduation Autumn entered the Army where she just returned from boot camp. She was very loved by faculty and fellow students.
