Police say a crook has taken off with a van used to train those who can’t walk to drive, and now the company needs your help to find it.
LEX 18 was told the theft happened sometime Tuesday or Wednesday at Superior Van and Mobility on New Circle Road. The van has specialized equipment for someone to steer and control the gas and brake with their hands while sitting in their wheelchair.

One worker says the crime is a real low blow. “Why would somebody want to steal something that helps somebody so much?” said John Jarrell. “It doesn’t make any sense really.”
The van and equipment inside are worth at least $150,000. If you have any information about what happened, call Lexington Police.
