A Western Kentucky University student died on the operating table Sunday morning after walking into a Louisville emergency room with a gunshot wound.
Cheryl Williamson arrived at University of Louisville Hospital around 4:00 Sunday morning with a gun shot wound to the chest.

A Louisville community activist says Williamson got into an argument with two men after a party around 3:30 Sunday morning and was shot, she then got a ride to the hospital from a bystander.
Louisville Police are investigating this as a homicide.
