The Otero County Sheriff’s Office and New Mexico State Police Wednesday issued a Missing Persons and Endangered alert for a La Luz couple.
Alynn Mclellan, 23, was last seen in La Luz on Nov. 26. Alynn is a 5-foot-1 female, weighing about 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Michael Mclellan, 28, was also last seen in La Luz on Nov. 26. Michael is a 5-feet-8 white male, weighing about 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The couple was last seen together driving a blue 2012 Honda Fit with a New Mexico license plate No. LZA323.
Otero County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Al Gutierrez said the couple suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
“They were last seen around 1:20 p.m. on Nov. 26,” Gutierrez said. “They left their Mescal Loop house in La Luz for interviews. The couple left their 11-month-old child in the care of Michael’s mother. It’s suspected they may have taken two AR-15 rifles and pistols. They allegedly made threats against law enforcement.”
He said the couple are also suspected of using drugs.
“They were also seen driving through the U.S. Highway 54 Border Patrol checkpoint on Nov. 26,” Gutierrez said. “They were traveling northbound into Alamogordo. The last text conversation was on Nov. 27 and stated, ‘They were stranded somewhere in Kansas.’ A be-on-the-lookout’ was generated. Missing person’s forms have been completed and submitted into the National Crime Information Center. Contact was made with Fort Riley, Kan., then the information
