A Lexington man pleaded not guilty Thursday in connection with a deadly shooting.
Develgio Lax, 29, was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he checked in with his parole officer and found out a warrant was out for his arrest. Police say three people got into a fight back in October at a nursing home and that Maurice Ward, Jr. shot and killed 31-year-old Anthony Beaumont, Jr.

Investigators say on that day that Lax provided the means and opportunity to commit murder. His bond was set at $100,000 full cash.
