State Police have made an arrest in the death of a Knott County man.
Eric Tysen Fugate of Hindman was reported missing Thursday morning.
On Friday morning, the 30-year-old’s body was discovered in an abandoned truck along a surfance mining road in the Triplett Branch community of Knott County.
By Friday night, police arrested Jerry B. Combs, 34, of Floyd County, and charged him with murder.
Kentucky State Police say their investigation revealed that Fugate and Combs had been in a fight before Fugate’s death.
Combs is being held at the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
An autopsy on Fugate will be performed at the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort and a final cause of death is pending.
