Kentucky State Police have released more information on a fatal shooting in Morgan County.
Police say Ronald J. Carmichael, 38, and James R. Patton, 27, got into an argument at a home along Archie Watkins Road in the Ezel community early Tuesday morning. During the altercation, Patton suffered a gunshot wound.

EMS took Patton to Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say they interviewed Carmichael and then released him.
Officials say the investigation remains open.
