South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says four people from the Rapid City area have been indicted and arrested on insurance fraud charges stemming from a 6-month investigation by the Division of Criminal Investigation.

According to a release, the investigation found over $30,000 in fraudulent claims or loan payments from different insurance/financial institutions. 27-year old James Boyce of Box Elder is charged with three counts of fraudulent insurance acts. Three people from Rapid City, 24-year old Amanda Boyce, 23-year old Tyler Whay and 21-year old Kyle Packman, are each charged with one count of fraudulent insurance acts. That is a class-4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison with a $20,000 fine.
