A man is being held in connection to an arson investigation of his own home, after being arrested by El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies Friday evening.
The man, Clay Alan Cline, 52, was arrested and charged with first degree arson, a class three felony, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
The fire happened Wednesday at about 10:50 p.m. at 1099 Kachina Drive in Cimarron Hills.

Fire crews from three departments: Cimarron Hills, Colorado Springs and Peterson, all responded to extinguish the fire.
The homeowner, Cline, and his two dogs escaped without injury
Cline is being held in the El Paso county Criminal Justice Center. A judge set bail at $10,000.
