New Orleans police are asking for assistance in their search for a 14-year-old girl with autism, who was reported missing in eastern New Orleans on Saturday. Shanna Rodgers was last seen by her mother Saturday about 9 a.m. in the 4600 block of Gabriel Drive, according to NOPD spokesman Garry G. Flot.
Rodgers is in need of her medication, according to police.

She is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and she weighs about 240 pounds, with brown eyes, and black and brown curly hair in a bob style. Rogers was last seen wearing a gray smiley-face T-shirt, blue jeans and black combat boots, police said.
Rodgers reportedly argued with her mother, then threatened to run away and packed her clothes.
On Saturday, Rodgers went outside to dispose of the garbage, and never came back inside, her mother told police. She has not been seen or heard from since, according to police.
Police ask anyone with information on the teenager’s whereabouts to call the New Orleans Police Department at 504.821.2222.
