Ryan Wesley Jackson, of the 3600 block of West Bay Ave., had been reported missing on Oct. 14 after his girlfriend hadn’t seen him for two days, county police said. On Oct. 15, his family visited a home in the 700 block of Rambo Court where they believed he might be.

“The family went over there, and was able to go into the home,” said Det. Cathy Batton, a county police spokeswoman. “Once they observed blood, they called the police department.”

Jackson remained missing until Saturday afternoon, when city police found the body of a man who had been stabbed to death in the area of Pennington Ave and Aspen St., in a wooded area near an industrial park. County police said he “visible traumatic injuries.”

Attempts to reach Jackson’s family by phone were unsuccessful, but his father told ABC-2 that the home on Rambo Court where family members found blood is a “known drug house.”

“Whatever the incident was, it doesn’t give another person rights to take someone’s life,” Reginald Jackson told the station. According to that report, Ryan Jackson’s girlfriend is pregnant and was expected to deliver within the week.

Batton said police do not know of a motive and were continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-307-2020
