A Boyle County registered sex offender has been arrested after he allegedly used a Facebook account to contact a minor.
Derek Neiderer, 33, was arrested on Thursday and charged with “registrant prohibited fron using social network web site or instant messaging or chat room program accessible to minors.”

Police say Neiderer was being held in the Boyle County Detention Center, but has since been released.
