A Peoria, Ariz. man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for sexual exploitation of a minor and dangerous crimes against children, according to a spokeswoman for the Arizona Attorney General’s office.
Brian Fortner, 28, was arrested in August 2012 after a man found a duffel bag in a dumpster outside of his Peoria home and called authorities.
The duffel bag contained a wallet, cassette tapes, and images depicting children in sexually exploitive actions. The wallet had Fortner’s driver’s license in it.

Detectives from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office also found methamphetamine in the bag, approximately 100 printed images of child pornography and 15 8-millimeter tapes containing hours of video of young girls in cheer competitions, gymnastics and fashion shows. The video was from social networking sites such as YouTube.
A search warrant was executed at Brian Fortner’s residence and he admitted the duffel bag was his.
In addition to the 14-year prison term, Fortner has to register as a sex offender upon the completion of his sentence.
