The family of a Boone County, WV man missing for more than one week said they are extremely worried about their loved one.

Bill O’Neal fights back tears as he talks about his brother, Daniel Joseph O’Neal, who goes by Joey.

“He was seen at Starbucks in Beckley and since then, we’ve received no phone calls, no texts, no contacts,” he said.

Bill said the disappearance is taking a tough toll on Joey’s 16-year-old daughter.

“It’s been nerve-racking, heart wrenching. She’s been extremely sick and has had to miss school,” he said.

Joey has ties to Boone, Raleigh, Wyoming and Kanawha Counties. He could be driving a dark green Toyota Solara.

“We’re all just aching inside, hurting, wanting to hear his voice and wanting to see him,” he said.

Authorities said he has ties to some religious groups that could be perceived as radical, but they aren’t sure if he’s in danger.

His family just want him to call home.

“Joey, if you’re out there, would you please contact the family? We love you, we hope to see you, and we’re praying for the best.”
