Identity Theft Smyrna, TN Police Seek Suspects

Detectives are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects accused of using stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases at area stores.

The suspects allegedly stole a wallet from a patron at the Washboard Laundry, located on Hazelwood Drive in Smyrna, on July 29 and used the credit cards that were in it to go on a shopping spree.

“These individuals went to the Wal-Mart and the Home Depot fuel station in Smyrna and made several purchases,” said Kevin Arnold, chief of the Smyrna Police Department.

While at the fuel station, Arnold said, the suspects used one of the credit cards to buy gasoline for two vehicles, of which one was silver and the other was a dark-colored, four-door sedan.

They were last seen leaving the area in those two vehicles, he said.

The suspects are described as a heavyset black male who was wearing a white shirt and black female, possibly in her early 20s. At the time of the incident, the woman was wearing a floral blouse and pink skirt.

Anyone who has information about the suspects is asked to call Allan Nabours, a detective with Police Department, at 615-459-6644.
