The Southfield Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating Sheldon Myron Leider, a missing elderly man from Southfield.
Leider’s vehicle was found unoccupied in the City of Sterling Heights on Oct. 25, but there was no evidence of a crime in or near the vehicle, according to Southfield Police Lt. Nick Loussia.

Officers conducted a welfare check at Leider’s residence, in the area of 11 Mile and Greenfield roads, and did not find evidence of a crime, Loussia said.
Leider is described as a white male, 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing 155 pounds. He has hazel eyes, gray hair and possibly a gray mustache and beard.
Leider is known to frequent the area of 10 Mile and Greenfield. He has been entered in the Law Enforcement Information Network as a Missing Person-Endangered.
