A homicide investigation is underway after a teenager was found shot dead in a Dayton alleyway.
Dayton police officials said that at around 2 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to the 400 block of Westwood Avenue where a dead body had been found in an alley.
The victim, a 15-year-old male, was shot to death, according to investigators. His identity has not been released yet.

Trotwood police released information on Sunday night that the teenage victim was also the same person involved in an abduction investigation. At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, it was reported to the Trotwood Police Department that the teen had been abducted. It was later found that the teen had last been seen at a Dayton residence, according to the release.
The 15-year-old was later discovered to be the homicide victim.
The abduction and homicide remain under investigation. Police have not released the identity of the teenage victim.
