A 23-year-old Carthage man is missing and the Moore County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating him.
According to a missing person report filed by a family member, Josiah Paul Simpson of 261 Grady W. Lane, Carthage,. has been missing since Feb. 5. Simpson is currently stationed at Fort Bragg and left the base in his grey 2011 Dodge Charger bearing North Carolina license plate number ACZ-4056. He has not been seen since that time by his family and has not returned to the base as scheduled.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Department described Simpson as a white male, approximately 6 foot tall, 145 pounds, with curly brown hair and hazel colored eyes.
Sheriff Neil Godfrey is requesting that anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Josiah Simpson contact the Moore County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 947-2931 or the Sheriff’s Office tip line at (910) 947-4444.
