Client asked if we could get the history for a vehicle they were looking to purchase. We advised that with just 6 simple steps, our involvement would not be necessary.
- Seat tracks ( are they rusted implying that they have been sitting under water)
- Government requires a sticker on the “B” pillar , if it has been salvaged
- Car Fax ( in most cases is very helpful to disclose MAJOR damage, but only if the damage was reported to an insurance company )

- Autocheck ( this tool is most helpful in recognizing any type of odometer rollback or replacement issues, and used by most auctions in the US)
- Give the VIN to your insurance agent to run to see if the insurance company has had any claims against it ( This should report to CarFax but why not double check )
- Ask for the previous owner and call and ask about the vehicle from them ( This may require our help , but in most cases the selling dealer will supply if asked )
