Fire investigators say the fire that burned through a vacant house on State Street Tuesday morning was intentionally set.
Two people driving along the street spotted the fire and called 911 just before 5 a.m. When firefighters arrived, the first floor was fully engulfed. Crews contained the blaze to the first floor.

There were no reported injuries.
Police estimate between 4,000 and 5,000 people packed State Street after the NCAA Championship game, but the crowds had cleared the area at the time of the house fire. Officials say they can’t say whether or not the fire was connected to the postgame chaos.
