Missing Person Camden, Miss. Toddler Still Missing

Investigators said Thursday that  they’re not giving up on the search for a missing toddler.

Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker said deputies still believe Myra Lewis, 2, is alive.

Tucker said investigators will continue to follow up on any leads.

Myra was reported missing by her family on March 1. An intense search followed with local, state and federal agencies looking for clues in wooded areas around the girl’s home and a nearby pond.

“We’ll continue to search. I’m upset that we aren’t able to find Myra, but we have reason to believe that she is still alive and still want to get her home,” Tucker said.

Meanwhile, Myra’s mother remains in jail because of a probation violation. She’ll face trial on May 19.
