Powell County officials are searching for an escaped inmate.
Officials say Joshua Sparks, of Clay City, escaped during supervised work detail at the Powell County Transfer Station at about 7:30 a.m. Monday.
All Powell County schools have been put on lockdown as officials search for Starks.
Sparks was last seen wearing a maroon hoodie and blue jeans. Officials say he is approximately 6 ft tall, weighs 245 lbs, with short brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone who sees Sparks or knows anything about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Powell County Dispatch Center.
The Powell County Sheriff’s Office, Powell County Detention Center, Clay City Police Department and Stanton Police Department are assisting in the search.
