Police said the arrest stems from an incident last November when Wilson attempted to purchase the diamond ring at the Tiffany and Co. store on Post Road East with a fraudulent Maryland operator’s license and a fraudulent American Express credit card.
He was arrested Tuesday morning by Westport police at Norwalk Superior Court.
Bond for Wilson was set at $100,000 and he is scheduled to be in court May 13.
