Wrongful Death Arrest Made in Connection to Body Found in Hotel Room

Lexington Police have arrested a man in connection to a homicide investigation from May.

Michael Wayne Crowe, 37, has been arrested in relation to a woman found dead in a room at the Americas Best Value Inn on Versailles Road on May 3.

The woman, later identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as Felecia L. Walker, was found face down on the ground around 7 p.m. that Saturday. Police said she and a man checked into the motel the night before and that people staying in rooms nearby complained the two were arguing loudly the previous night.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said Friday that Walker’s death was being investigated as a homicide and the cause of death was being withheld due to prosecution. Autopsy results from two days after her body was found stated the death was being investigated as a possible accidental overdose.

Crowe will be held in the Fayette County Detention Center charged with murder.
