Accident Reconstruction Teen Killed In Boyle County Crash

The Boyle County coroner has identified a teenager who died in a single-vehicle crash in Boyle County Sunday night.

The coroner says the victim is 16-year-old Emily Snow of Junction City.

Deputies say alcohol and speed were likely factors in the deadly accident along Scrubgrass Road around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Investigators say the pavement was wet, and the driver lost control in a curve and slammed into a tree.

Snow was declared dead at the scene. Officials say five people were in the car. One victim was flown to UK Hospital, and EMS took three others to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Their condition is unknown and they have not been identified.

Deputies say no one in the car was wearing a seat belt.

Ronnie Maddox, a witness, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash.

“I seen two teens laying on the road. I know it was somebody who didn’t know this road. This curve here will get you if you’re going 15 miles per hour and it’s wet. It’ll get you,” he said.
