The Woodford County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about a scam where the caller is posing as a deputy.
Police said they got a call from a resident who said they had been contacted by a Sergeant Owens from the sheriff’s office.
They were told they had a warrant out for their arrest after they failed to show up for jury duty but they could get out of it if they paid a $4,000 fine.
