Police are digging deeper into the past of Lexington twin brothers facing child porn charges.
Investigators are back at the home of the Cassidy brothers, former Boy Scout leaders, executing a search warrant and looking for any clues that might help crack a three decades old mystery.
Around 20 police officers, most of them from the crimes against children unit, converged on the Mason Headley home around 1:30 p.m. Friday. Police scanned everything in the home to record the evidence in 3-D, in order to keep a “real life” record of all the contents.

Their mission is to identify some of the children detectives say were found on videos, pictures, cameras and film.
Jack and Jerry Cassidy are currently facing child porn charges, but the 76-year-old twins could be charged with more offenses, depending on what the police find. Those who grew up in the neighborhood say there were red flags here 30 and 40 years ago. Some recall seeing pre-teen boys riding go-carts with the Cassidys in their yard.
The Cassidys were once scout leaders in Lexington in the 1970s, but were banned from the organization when charged with crimes involving children. The brothers were both charged with three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor, a misdemeanor in three separate incidents in 1977.
The offenses did not involve boy scouts.
