The victims have been identified as Tina Goble, her husband Canie Johnson, Jr., and her granddaughter, Trinity Maynard.

Tim Goble, Trinity’s father and Tina Goble’s son, said Smith was a family acquaintance.

He says Trinity had just started the third grade and he was supposed to spend the day watching basketball with her. Instead, he’s picking out headstones and remembering the inseparable bond all three shared.

“Honestly, those three were inseparable,” he said.
