A man wanted in the murder of a Kentucky taxi driver entered a guilty plea to a separate charge in a New York court Monday and will now be extradited to Kentucky.

27-year-old Miles Matthews entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor count of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. A New York TV station reports he was sentenced to time served.

He is now being extradited to Kentucky to face criminal charges in the death of 34-year-old Adam Gregg. Police say Matthews killed Gregg, left his body on an Oldham County driveway and stole his car.

Troopers arrested Matthews in July near the Canadian border driving Gregg’s car after a traffic stop.

Matthews is originally of Corydon, Indiana.
