Accident Reconstruction Man Airlifted From Anderson County Crash

One person was airlifted from a crash Monday morning in Anderson County.

Traffic is back open after a bad crash on the eastbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway that happened around 9:30 a.m.

Police say the driver, a man, was the only one in a pickup truck when he lost control somehow and over-corrected causing the truck to flip and eject him from the vehicle. Police say it appears he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

“The best we can tell, he was traveling eastbound when he dropped off in the median… not sure if he fell asleep or had some other distraction. He lost control in the median, come out crossing the eastbound lane and impacted the shoulder of the highway,” said trooper Mike Carnahan.

Only one vehicle was involved in the crash. The victim was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital. His name and condition not known at this time.
