Wrongful Death Family of Toddler Shot and Killed Allegedly Receiving Death Threats

The family of a toddler who was gunned down while on the porch of a home in west Louisville says they are receiving death threats due to increased police presence in the neighborhood.

Louisville Police have been posted outside the home where the shooting happened on Aug. 27.

16-month-old Ne’riah Miller was being held by her mother when she was shot and killed with a gunshot wound to the torso. The mother is still recovering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Her injuries are considered non-life threatening.

A family member of the victims said that a man approached the porch before 6 p.m. and shot both the mother and child before fleeing.

Originally, police believed it was a drive-by shooting, but have since determined the gunman was on foot.

No one has been arrested in the case.
