Missing Person KY Men Missing Near Mount Hood in Oregon

Oregon State Police are asking for the public’s help finding a father and son whose car was found abandoned along Oregon 35 in the Mount Hood area last week.

On Friday, an OSP trooper found the 2012 Kia Rio with a Kentucky license plate parked about half a mile north of the Dog River Trailhead in Hood River County. The car had hiking equipment inside, OSP said.

A trooper contacted the vehicle owner’s family who said the owner, 59-year-old John Kevin Wood, was mostly likely accompanied by his son, 32-year-old Jason Anthony Wood. Both men, who are from Bardstown, Kentucky, have not been in contact with family or neighbors since mid-August, OSP said.

The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office has conducted an air searches but deputies didn’t find anything.
