Two men claiming they were with the FBI and asking questions about credit card numbers raised suspicions at a Lexington business Tuesday morning.
Police responded to the Tire Discounters on West New Circle Road around 9 a.m. Employees said they were caught off guard when the duo walked in, flashed badges, said they were with the FBI, and tried to get credit card numbers. The employees said something just didn’t seem right, so they told the men they couldn’t help. The men left in an older, black car.

Employees called the corporate office, and employees there called the police.
Police agreed that the story sounded strange, but it remains unclear who the men were.
