Police are asking the public’s help to find a teenage boy who went missing from his West Side home Monday evening.
Dwayne Perkins, 15, left his home in the 700 block of South Independence about 7:15 p.m. and did not return, according to a missing person alert issued by Area North detectives.
He is described as a 5-foot-6, 120-pound black boy with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion, the alert said.

He was last seen wearing a black-and-red striped vest with a hood, a blue polo shirt with “DRW” on the left front side, beige khaki pants and black dress shoes, the alert said. He was carrying a black book bag with “DRW” ON IT.
