Wrongful Death Grand Jury Indicts Man Accused in Cab Driver’s Death

A grand injury has indicted a man accused of killing a Louisville cab driver and then trying to escape in the victim’s car.

Miles Matthews is charged with murder, robbery, tampering with evidence and fraudulent use of a card.

He is accused of calling a cab, then killing the driver, Adam Gregg, whose body was found dumped on the driveway of a home in Oldham County in July 2014.

“We have reason to believe heroin was involved,” said Mark Lincoln with the New York State Police said.

Matthews was caught near the Canadian border in July. He was extradited to Kentucky after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property in New York.
