A homicide investigation is now underway in Estill County.
State police say 23-year-old William Cain of Irvine died last night at UK Hospital after an incident on November 21.
Investigators are still trying to sort out the details, but say Cain was in some kind of accident in a stolen truck on Barnes Mountain in rural Estill County. Cain was flown to UK following the incident.
A Fayette County Coroner’s report states that Barnes was also involved in an assault and died from injuries sustained in that assault. The cause of death is listed as complications from blunt force injuries.

The death is now a homicide and is being investigated by Richmond KSP.
