Wrongful Death Woman Involved in Couple Slaying Denied Parole

A Kentucky woman who is serving time in a Tennessee prison for her role in a double murder case has been denied parole.

According to an NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Vanessa Coleman of Marion County is serving 35 years in prison for her facilitation of the torture and slaying of a Knoxville woman in 2007.

Coleman was convicted during a second trial of helping three men in an attack that killed Channon Christian. Christian’s boyfriend was also killed in the attack.

Investigators say that Christian was kidnapped, raped, tortured and left for dead. Coleman will not be up for parole again until 2020.
