Police in western Kentucky are trying to figure out what lead up to a woman being found dead near the Murray State University campus.
The Calloway County coroner says 23-year-old Megan Cooper was found dead in a wooded area near her home.

Murray Police were asked to check on Cooper Friday night, but couldn’t find her. A missing persons report was filed. Cooper’s body was found the next day during a search.
Copper’s body was taken to Louisville for an autopsy.
