Wrongful Death Woman Sentenced in Murder Investigation

A woman accused of intimidating a judicial officer and hindering a murder investigation has been sentenced.

The Central Kentucky News Journal reports 60-year-old Ruth Salyers of Taylor County pleaded guilty to amended charges and sentenced to probation.

She pleaded guilty to criminal facilitation to commit the three charges. In exchange for her guilty plea, Salyers was sentenced to two years’ probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine.

Her husband was sentenced to 20 years for complicity in the murder of Wendall Gleason Pyles.
