Missing Person Suspect Identified in GA Missing Couple Case

According to Telfair County Sheriff Chris Steverson, investigators have obtained warrants in regards to missing couple Bud and June Runion.

28-year-old Ronnie Adrian “Jay” Towns is wanted for giving false statements and criminal attempt to commit theft by deception.

Towns is a white male, 6’4″, about 210 pounds and is believed to have blue eyes.

The investigation is ongoing and information will be shared as it becomes available.

Telfair County Sheriff’s Office appreciates all assistance in the investigation.

Local law enforcement, family and friends are searching for Bud & June Runion.

Police say that they have been officially missing from Cobb County since January 22nd.

Elrey “Bud” Runion, 69, and his wife June, 66, left their Marietta home Thursday (1/22/2015), to go buy a car they found on Craigslist. The 1966 Mustang was advertised in McRae, Georgia, in Telfair County.

The Runions were driving a champagne colored 2003 GMC Envoy with Georgia tag BWU7349.

Their daughters Brittany, Stephanie and Virginia have met with police to file missing persons reports and also met with detectives at Bud & June’s home to look for any clues.
