Police on Monday charged a Lawrenceville man with nearly 30 sexual offenses, including rape, sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and child pornography involving a girl who was 13 at the time.
According to a criminal complaint, Dustin Moffat, 32, forced the girl to have sex with him in his home on two occasions. Police said they identified the victim through photos obtained from a social networking site.

Police said the victim, who lived near Moffat, reported that the first incident occurred toward the end of 2011 when she was 13, and the second in the first half of 2012 when she was 14. She told police she did not know she was being photographed either time, according to the complaint.
The victim told police that between and after the incidents, Moffat harassed her via phone calls and text messages. After the second incident, Moffat began stalking and physically assaulting the girl, including choking, spitting on and slapping her, according to police.
According to the complaint, the girl’s parents confronted Moffat about his abusive behavior in 2012, but they were not aware of the rape and assault. Court records show April 2012 charges of false reports and corruption of minors against Moffat were dismissed, as well as a May 2012 charge of disorderly conduct.
A February 2009 charge of harassment against Moffat was moved to non-traffic court.
