Accident Reconstruction: Family Looking For Answer After Madison County Mom Killed in Crash

Less than a week ago, Amber Dawn Webb, a  Madison County mother was killed in a car crash on I-75 and her family still has a lot of questions. They don’t know how the wreck happened or why she was on the interstate in the first place.

“We just can’t understand why she was on I-75,” Timmy Webb said. “Because she hated the highway.”

Amber Dawn was on her way to get her 11 year old son’s hearing aid repaired in Richmond when somehow, she ended up Southbound on I-75.

Police say that the mother of two lost control of her car and it wound up on it’s side. That’s when a jeep, pulling a trailer, slammed into her car.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Her family said that she typically avoided I-75 out of fear and guess that she was in the wrong lane and was forced to merge onto the interstate. They are hoping that anyone who saw the crash will contact them.

“If anybody knows anything I wish they would call us,” Mr. Webb pleaded “It would mean so much. It really would.”

He explained that there was confusion from the start.  He wasn’t aware that she’d even been in a wreck.  He said that her wallet was misplaced by emergency crews in all the confusion.

As they deal with the grief, they are comforted by her faith.

“That’s the only peace we find in this knowing where she’s at now,” her sister said. “She gave her life to the Lord January 30th.”

If anyone saw anything and has information, call the station 859-381-1801 and we will make sure the family gets the information.
