Pedophile Tracking Greenville Woman Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Trafficking

A Greenville woman faces life in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges of transporting a minor across state lines for prostitution.

Doriean Barberi, 37, was first charged in a seven-count federal indictment with sex trafficking of children and use of interstate commerce in furtherance of prostitution, according Virginia court records.

In a plea agreement filed Thursday, Barberi is alleged to have posted ads on backpage.com, for herself and a 17-year-old victim offering their sexual services at a motel in Virginia Beach.

One ad posted under the female escort section on Sept. 17, 2014 depicted a picture of what appeared to be a juvenile female saying, “Shy…first time on the page,” with a phone number listed, according to court records.

Barberi is alleged to have set up the appointments for the victim, who was transported from South Carolina to Virginia to have sex with customers, court records said.

The victim had seen approximately 10 customers over two days and had given Barberi all the money she was paid, according to the plea agreement.

Barberi faces a maximum penalty of life in prison when she is sentenced on Oct. 22, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
