Yishiro A. Hamata, 31, of Morris, was last seen wearing a gray pullover sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes. He is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, and weighs between 285 to 300 pounds.

Hamata has a tattoo on his left arm of the initials, “KOC,” with red stars below those letters. He also has a tattoo on his right inner forearm of a Japanese symbol for the word “phantom,” police said.

The missing person investigation began June 18, around 9:30 p.m., when troopers responded to a report of an unoccupied 1995 Chrysler Cirrus parked on Pat Farley Road in the Town of New Berlin.

Police said that Cirrus belonged to Hamata, and he might have been last seen in the Oneonta area two days earlier.

Anyone who has seen this man or has information is asked to call the New York State police at (607) 561-7400.
