Drug Dog Sweep Brooklyn, Conn. Man Arrested After Crack Found

A Brooklyn man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police found drugs in his car during a traffic stop.

Police say troopers saw a car driving on South Main Street being operated by 33 year old Henry “Hank” Tyus shortly before 4:30. Tyus was known to have a suspended license, and was pulled over by police.

Troopers then used a drug detecting dog to help search Tyus’ vehicle. The dog alerted officers to the odor of narcotics along the driver’s side door seam, according to police.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found pre-packaged crack cocaine and a large amount of money.

Tyus was arrested without incident and was charged with operating under suspension, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He is due in court July 21.
